The ROBBJACK ST-630-24-T is a solid carbide square end mill built for demanding metal removal in professional machining environments. Measuring 0.75 inches in diameter with a 1.5-inch length of cut and 4-inch overall length, this tool handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in a single setup. Six spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A TiN (titanium nitride) coating improves surface hardness and extends tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry follow standard CNC and manual mill conventions. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole.
The ST-630-24-T is suited for general-purpose milling operations in job shops, tool rooms, and production machining. The 0.75-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets and end mill holders commonly found on vertical machining centers, knee mills, and CNC routers. Its regular-length profile makes it appropriate for most workpiece setups where extended reach is not required. The ST-630 series targets applications involving steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials where a rigid, multi-flute carbide tool is preferred over a high-speed steel alternative.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use tool for standard 3/4-inch end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and side-lock holders on vertical machining centers, knee mills, and CNC milling machines accepting a 0.75-inch shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the end mill from the tool holder. Seat the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the collet or holder to minimize runout and prevent pull-out under load. Verify tool holder cleanliness and inspect the shank for burrs or damage before clamping; contamination or shank defects can induce runout and reduce tool life.
