The ROBBJACK ST-343-10-C is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precision material removal in ferrous and high-performance alloy machining. Built on the ST-343 series platform, this single-end tool features a 5/16 inch (0.3125 inch) cutting diameter, a 13/16 inch (0.8125 inch) length of cut, and a 45-degree chamfer angle with a chamfer width ranging from 0.0040 to 0.0060 inches. A TiCN (PVD) coating delivers elevated surface hardness and wear resistance for demanding cutting environments. The 40-degree high helix geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single setup.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers running steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium workpieces. Typical applications include slotting, side milling, helical interpolation, and ramping operations. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, giving machinists flexibility in programming complex toolpaths. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard ER and end mill holders common in production and job shop environments. It is appropriate for both prototype and production runs where edge chamfering precision and surface finish consistency are required.
The ST-343-10-C is designed for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. It is compatible with standard straight-cylindrical shank tool holders and is suited for CNC milling applications requiring corner chamfering, slotting, and helical interpolation in the ST-343 series application range.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a clean, appropriately sized end mill holder or ER collet, ensuring the shank seats fully and runout is within tolerance before beginning a cut. Verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before engaging the workpiece. Always confirm feed rate and depth-of-cut parameters against material-specific cutting data before running the program.
