The ROBBJACK ST-341-10-A is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 5/16 inch cutting diameter, a 1/2 inch length of cut, and three right-hand helical flutes ground at a 40-degree helix angle. The cutting edges carry a PVD-applied AlTiN coating, which provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when machining abrasive or high-temperature alloys. The stub-length geometry and straight cylindrical shank make it well suited for rigid setups where tool overhang must be minimized. This tool handles both roughing and finishing operations in a single pass.
The ST-341-10-A is built for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Typical applications include slotting, side milling, helical interpolation, and ramping operations on CNC machining centers and manual mills. The 45-degree chamfer angle produces consistent edge breaks and chamfers on part corners. The 0.0040 to 0.0060 inch chamfer width range makes it appropriate for deburring and edge preparation on precision components across aerospace, medical, and general machining environments.
Part of the ROBBJACK ST-341 series. Designed for use on CNC machining centers and rigid knee mills accepting a 5/16 inch straight cylindrical shank. Rated for primary workpiece materials including steel (P), stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), superalloys, and titanium (S).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the shank in a collet or end mill holder that meets the shank diameter tolerance of -0.0001 to -0.0002 inches for proper runout control. Ensure the spindle and workpiece holding fixtures are fully powered down and locked before tool changes. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the material being machined, and verify chip evacuation is adequate when ramping or helical interpolating in closed pockets.
