The ROBBJACK SR-2-030 is a solid carbide square end mill from the SR-2 series, designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 1/32-inch (0.0300-inch) cutting diameter and a 3/32-inch length of cut, this tool is built for tight-tolerance slotting, profiling, and contouring in small-feature applications. The 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank and 1-1/2-inch overall length make it compatible with standard collet toolholders. Two spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation. This end mill is uncoated and runs right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in precision manufacturing, toolrooms, and job shops.
The SR-2-030 is suited for small-diameter milling operations in materials that fall within the Tuffy material grade category, which includes a range of steels and harder non-ferrous alloys. Its centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. The regular-length geometry and compact cutting diameter make it well-matched for micro-milling passes, engraving-adjacent contouring, and fine detail work on molds, dies, and small machined components. Applications span CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with appropriate high-precision collet systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for applications requiring a 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank and 1/32-inch cutting diameter, compatible with standard ER and straight-bore collet toolholding systems.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC technicians. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle completely before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully and evenly in a clean, properly sized collet to achieve accurate runout. Verify spindle speed and feed rate against the material being cut before engaging the workpiece, as small-diameter carbide end mills are sensitive to deflection and breakage under improper cutting conditions.
