The ROBBJACK EX-204-12 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding shop environments. It carries a 3/8-inch cutting diameter, a 3/4-inch length of cut, and an overall length of 3-1/4 inches, placing it in the extra-long reach category with a 2-inch reach length. The 30-degree helix spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting performance. Manufactured from solid carbide in ROBBJACK's Tuffy material grade, this tool delivers rigidity and wear resistance suited to hard and abrasive workpiece materials. Installation is performed by machinists and CNC operators working in general machining, tool and die, and production milling applications.
The EX-204-12 is built for milling operations that require extended reach into pockets, slots, or deep cavity features where a standard-length end mill cannot access. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral milling. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional CNC spindle use. The straight cylindrical shank with tight shank diameter tolerance suits collet chucks, ER-style holders, and shrink-fit toolholders commonly used in vertical and horizontal machining centers. Uncoated carbide construction makes this tool suitable for use with cutting fluids and appropriate for re-sharpening by qualified grinding shops.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill in the ROBBJACK EX-204 series, compatible with 3/8-inch collet chucks, ER-style toolholders, and shrink-fit holders accepting a 3/8-inch straight cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder to the recommended gauge-line depth and verify runout before engaging the cut. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
