The ROBBJACK C8-303-04 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metal, composites, and other engineering materials. Part of the C8-303 series, it features a 0.125-inch cutting diameter, a 0.5-inch length of cut, and a 0.25-inch straight cylindrical shank. With three right-hand spiral flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, it balances chip evacuation with edge strength. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral milling. Solid carbide construction in material grade C2 provides rigidity and wear resistance for consistent results across a range of machining applications.
This end mill is suited for light finishing and profiling passes in CNC machining centers and manual mills where a small-diameter tool is required. Its 2.5-inch overall length and regular length classification make it a standard choice for close-tolerance slot milling, contour milling, and pocket work. The uncoated finish is appropriate for applications where a coated tool is not required or where regrinding is anticipated. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on precision components will find this tool compatible with typical small-diameter milling setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 0.25-inch straight cylindrical shank, consistent with the ROBBJACK C8-303 series specification.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the toolholder. Use a collet or end mill holder rated for the 0.25-inch shank diameter and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use and confirm runout is within acceptable limits before beginning a cut.
