The ROBBJACK C07-0040-08-20 is a solid carbide slitting and slotting saw designed for precision cutting in demanding machining environments. With a blade diameter of 0.75 inches and an ultra-thin blade thickness of 0.004 inches, this saw produces narrow, accurate kerfs in hard and exotic materials. The 20-tooth straight configuration and concave-ground profile reduce cutting friction and help evacuate chips efficiently. Right-hand cutting direction is standard. The bright, uncoated finish maintains dimensional accuracy without added coating thickness, making it well suited for applications where tight tolerances are required. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this saw on arbor-style holding systems.
This saw is intended for slitting, slotting, and undercutting operations on CNC mills and manual milling machines where fine-width cuts are needed. It is rated for use on cast iron, stainless steel, carbon steel, super alloys, and titanium - materials commonly found in aerospace, medical, and precision industrial machining work. The combination of solid carbide construction and concave grinding makes it particularly effective when cutting harder workpiece materials where high-speed steel tooling would wear too quickly. Arbor connection type allows straightforward mounting on standard slitting saw arbors.
Designed for use on arbor-style slitting saw holders on CNC and manual milling machines. Suitable for cutting cast iron, stainless steel, steel, super alloys, and titanium workpieces.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's arbor mounting procedures. Ensure the milling machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the saw blade. Use the correct arbor diameter and spacers to seat the blade securely and minimize runout. At 0.004 inches thick, the blade is extremely fragile - avoid side loading and verify feed rate and speed settings are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the cut.
