The ROBBJACK B-333-06 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for both roughing and finishing operations in metalworking and machining applications. Part of the B-333 Series Tuffy Grade carbide line, this single-end mill features a 0.1875-inch diameter with a matching 0.1875-inch straight cylindrical shank and a 0.625-inch length of cut. The 30-degree medium helix angle supports efficient chip evacuation across a range of materials. With a bright uncoated finish and three helical flutes, this end mill is suited for precision work where tight tolerances and consistent surface finish are required. It is installed by machinists and toolroom professionals on CNC mills and manual milling machines.
This end mill is primarily suited for cutting cast iron and non-ferrous metals, making it a practical choice for production machining, die work, and general milling tasks at smaller diameters. The standard length configuration and fixed nose radius of 0.0938 inches allow for contouring, profiling, and 3D surface work in both roughing and finishing passes. No extended reach or coolant-through capability is included, so this tool is best applied in open setups with conventional coolant delivery or dry cutting conditions where the workpiece material permits.
The B-333-06 is part of the ROBBJACK B-333 Series and is designed for use in standard straight-bore end mill holders or collet chucks accepting a 0.1875-inch shank diameter. Primary workpiece materials are cast iron and non-ferrous metals per manufacturer classification codes K and N.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the shank fully into the holder to the recommended engagement depth before tightening to avoid runout. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and diameter before initiating the cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use, as carbide tooling at small diameters is sensitive to side loading and interrupted cuts.
