The ROBBJACK B-330-04-A is a 3-flute solid carbide ball end mill designed for both roughing and finishing operations in demanding machining environments. Part of the B-300 Series, it features a 0.125-inch mill diameter, a 0.5-inch length of cut, and a 1.5-inch overall length with a matching 0.125-inch straight cylindrical shank. The tool is coated with AlTiN via PVD process, delivering high heat resistance and surface hardness suited for aggressive cutting in ferrous and exotic materials. A 30-degree medium helix angle promotes chip evacuation and smooth cutting action across a range of workpiece materials.
This end mill is engineered for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, covering ISO material groups P, M, K, and S. Its compact diameter and standard length profile make it well suited for slot milling, profiling, and contouring in tight geometries. The single-end configuration and right-hand cutting and flute direction are consistent with standard CNC machining center setups. It is typically run on vertical or horizontal machining centers by skilled machinists working in precision part production, tool and die, aerospace, and medical manufacturing environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC machining centers requiring a 0.125-inch diameter, 3-flute ball end mill with a straight cylindrical shank and AlTiN coating in the B-300 Series. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is in a safe state before inserting or removing the end mill. Use a calibrated tool holder appropriate for a 0.125-inch straight shank, and verify runout with a dial indicator before engaging the workpiece. Consult the machine manufacturer's documentation and applicable shop safety standards for proper speeds, feeds, and depth-of-cut parameters before operation.
