The ROBBJACK B-300-06-C is a solid carbide ball end mill engineered for high-performance material removal and finishing in demanding applications. Measuring 0.1875 inches in diameter with a 0.3125-inch length of cut and a 2.0-inch overall length, this three-flute, single-end tool is built for precision work in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys including titanium. The TiCN (PVD) coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in abrasive and difficult-to-machine materials. The B-300 Series features patented hone cutting edges that reduce chipping and support high-quality surface finishes. The 30-degree medium helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting performance.
This end mill is suited for machining shops and toolrooms running CNC milling operations on ferrous and exotic alloy workpieces. Its standard-length geometry and straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with common collet and end mill holder systems. The combination of roughing and finishing capability in a single tool makes it a practical choice when switching between operations on tight-tolerance components. Primary workpiece material codes P, M, K, and S indicate suitability for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys and titanium respectively.
Designed for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys including titanium (material codes P, M, K, S). The straight-cylindrical shank at 0.1875 inches fits standard 3/16-inch collets and end mill holders. Part of the ROBBJACK B-300 Series for high-performance solid carbide ball end mill applications.
This tool is installed by machinists in CNC milling centers using a properly sized collet or end mill holder torqued to the machine tool manufacturer's specification. Verify spindle runout before seating the tool, as excessive runout accelerates wear on carbide end mills. Do not exceed the tool's rated depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping before each use, particularly after running superalloys or hardened steels.
