The RIVETKING ABA86/P100 is a Size 86 open end blind rivet with a dome head, aluminum body, and aluminum mandrel, sold in a package of 100. It installs with a standard blind rivet tool from one side of the workpiece, making it a practical fastener where rear access is limited. The body diameter is 0.25 inches and the grip range spans 0.251 to 0.375 inches, accommodating a range of material stack-up thicknesses. Tensile strength is rated at 560 pounds and shear strength at 460 pounds. This rivet meets IFI 114 Grade 11 standards and is manufactured from 5052-series aluminum for corrosion resistance in light-duty structural and fabrication applications.
This rivet is commonly used in sheet metal fabrication, HVAC ductwork assembly, electrical enclosure manufacturing, and general trade work where a lightweight, non-corroding fastener is required. The dome head profile sits low and distributes clamping load across the workpiece surface. Installation requires a hole drilled to between 0.257 and 0.261 inches in diameter, corresponding to a drill size F. At 0.81 pounds per 100-count package, this fastener is a standard consumable for field kits and shop floor use alike.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard consumable blind rivet for use in light-gauge sheet metal, ductwork, electrical enclosures, and general fabrication assemblies requiring a 0.25-inch body diameter open end rivet.
Installation is performed with a standard hand or pneumatic blind rivet tool sized for a 0.25-inch body diameter rivet. Drill the mating hole to between 0.257 and 0.261 inches using a drill size F bit before installation. Confirm that total material stack-up falls within the 0.251 to 0.375 inch grip range prior to setting the rivet. Discard spent mandrels appropriately and inspect the set rivet head for proper flare before considering the joint complete.
