The RIVETKING ABA64CE/P500 is a closed end sealing blind rivet designed to prevent fluid and air infiltration at the fastener point. The closed end design seals the mandrel cavity after installation, making it well suited for applications where moisture, gases, or contaminants must not pass through the fastened joint. The dome head profile distributes clamping load evenly across the workpiece surface. Both the body and mandrel are aluminum alloy grade 1100, keeping weight low while providing adequate tensile strength of 250 pounds and shear strength of 210 pounds. This 500-count package is stocked for production and maintenance environments where consistent fastener supply matters.
This rivet is used in sheet metal fabrication, HVAC ductwork assembly, enclosure manufacturing, and light structural joining where a sealed fastener is required. The 3/16 inch body diameter fits a drilled or punched hole ranging from 0.192 to 0.196 inches, and the grip range of 0.188 to 0.250 inches accommodates typical thin-gauge stacking. Installers working with aluminum sheet panels, duct assemblies, or lightweight frames will find this rivet appropriate for those material thicknesses. The dome head provides a low-profile finished appearance on the accessible face of the joint.
Designed for use in pre-drilled or punched holes sized for a No. 11 wire drill, with a hole diameter range of 0.192 to 0.196 inches, in aluminum, steel, or other sheet materials within the stated grip range.
Install with a standard manual or pneumatic blind rivet tool sized for 3/16 inch body rivets. Verify hole diameter falls within 0.192 to 0.196 inches before setting; oversized holes reduce clamping force and compromise the seal. Deburr holes prior to installation to avoid damaging the rivet body. Spent mandrels should be collected and disposed of in accordance with site housekeeping requirements.
