The RIVETKING ABA41/P500 is an open end blind rivet with a dome head, aluminum body, and aluminum mandrel, sold in a pack of 500. It carries a body diameter of 0.125 inches and a 0.25-inch dome head, making it suitable for thin-material fastening where access is limited to one side of the workpiece. The grip range runs from 0.020 to 0.062 inches, with a minimum hole diameter of 0.129 inches and a maximum of 0.133 inches. Tensile strength is rated at 150 pounds and shear strength at 120 pounds. This rivet meets IFI 114 Grade 11 standards and is made from 5052 aluminum alloy with a white painted finish. Electricians, HVAC installers, plumbers, and general trade contractors use this fastener for light-gauge sheet metal, ductwork, enclosures, and panel assembly.
This rivet is suited for applications requiring a flush-setting, low-profile dome head on aluminum or compatible thin-gauge substrates. The open end design allows the mandrel to pass through fully, which is standard practice in single-side access installations. The 500-unit pack makes it practical for service vans and job-site stock. A Number 30 drill bit is the correct drill size for hole preparation. Applications include light-gauge HVAC ductwork, electrical enclosures, sheet metal panels, and general mechanical assembly where a low-profile dome head and aluminum-to-aluminum fastening are required.
Designed as an OEM-style blind rivet for use with standard rivet tools accepting 0.125-inch body diameter open end rivets. Requires a Number 30 drill bit for proper hole preparation in the mating material.
Installation requires a hand-operated or pneumatic blind rivet tool sized for 0.125-inch body rivets. Drill the hole using a Number 30 bit and deburr before setting to ensure full mandrel break and proper flange seating. Do not overdrive - mandrel break indicates correct set. Inspect the dome head and rear flange after installation to confirm full expansion before load is applied.
