The RIVETKING 37C1IKFSY/P25 is a standard countersunk-head rivet nut designed for creating strong, threaded fastening points in thin-gauge or hollow materials where rear access is not available. Sized for a 3/8-16 thread, it accepts a wide grip range of 0.027 to 0.15 inches, making it adaptable to a variety of material thicknesses in a single fastener. Constructed from steel with a zinc yellow dichromate finish, this rivet nut resists corrosion while providing reliable thread engagement. It is installed by licensed mechanical contractors, millwrights, HVAC sheet metal technicians, electricians, and general maintenance professionals working on structural panels, ductwork, enclosures, and equipment frames. Sold in a package of 25 units.
This rivet nut is suited for residential and commercial applications wherever threaded inserts must be set into sheet metal, thin plate, hollow sections, or composite panels without access to the backside of the workpiece. Typical scenarios include equipment enclosure assembly, HVAC unit panels, electrical cabinet fabrication, and general structural fastening tasks requiring a flush or countersunk seating profile. The countersunk head sits flush with the host material surface, allowing mating components to seat cleanly without standoff gaps.
Designed as a standard 3/8-16 threaded insert rivet nut for use in sheet metal, thin-wall tubing, hollow structural sections, and panel assemblies where blind-side installation is required.
Rivet nuts are installed using a manual or pneumatic rivet nut tool sized for the 3/8-16 thread; verify tool mandrel compatibility before installation. Power down or de-energize any assembly before installing fasteners near electrical components. Ensure the host material thickness falls within the 0.027 to 0.15 inch grip range before setting to avoid under-set or over-set conditions. Follow applicable facility maintenance and equipment manufacturer guidelines for fastener torque after the rivet nut is seated.
