The RITCHIE ENGINEERING 69705 is a universal AC dye injector hose designed for use with UV dye leak detection systems in both stationary HVAC/R and automotive air conditioning applications. Rated to 80 psi working pressure, it connects to standard disposable dye cartridges and delivers dye charge directly into the refrigerant circuit. Each disposable tube provides four 1/4 oz applications, keeping the process clean and reducing cross-contamination between jobs. A built-in backflow check valve prevents refrigerant and system oil from migrating back into the injector, protecting the tool and the technician. HVAC/R and auto AC technicians are the primary installers of this accessory.
The 69705 is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC/R service work as well as mobile automotive AC systems. It is commonly used during leak detection procedures where UV dye must be introduced into the refrigerant circuit without recovering the charge. The universal design allows it to work across a broad range of system types, making it a practical addition to a service technician's manifold set or standalone injection kit.
Designed as a universal-fit dye injector hose for use with AC/R and automotive air conditioning systems. Compatible with standard 1/4 oz disposable UV dye cartridges used in refrigerant leak detection procedures.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed HVAC/R technician or certified automotive AC technician. Before connecting the injector hose, verify that system pressure does not exceed the 80 psi working pressure rating of the tool. Follow standard refrigerant handling procedures in accordance with EPA Section 608 or Section 609 regulations as applicable. Do not reuse disposable dye cartridges, and inspect the hose and check valve for wear before each use.
