The RIIFO px1300w is a 1-inch PEX-B oxygen barrier tubing coil, supplied in a 300-foot length and finished in white. It is designed for closed-loop hydronic heating systems where oxygen diffusion into the fluid can cause corrosion in ferrous components such as boilers, circulators, and cast-iron radiators. The oxygen barrier layer meets DIN 4726 standards for hydronic applications. Weighing approximately 50.10 pounds per coil, it offers a manageable spool size for residential and light commercial radiant floor or baseboard heating installations. Licensed plumbers and hydronic heating technicians are the primary installers of this product.
This tubing is suited for radiant floor heating, radiant panel systems, baseboard convector loops, and snow-melt applications where a closed hydronic circuit is required. The oxygen barrier construction makes it appropriate for direct connection to boilers and other ferrous system components without a heat exchanger. The 300-foot coil length reduces the number of fittings needed in longer runs, which is advantageous in slab-pour and staple-up radiant floor installations. It is not rated for potable water service due to the oxygen barrier layer.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation tubing for closed-loop hydronic radiant heating systems requiring oxygen barrier PEX-B pipe in 1-inch diameter.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or hydronic heating technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM F876/F877 standards for PEX tubing. Shut down and depressurize the hydronic system before making any connections. Use only fittings and crimp or clamp rings rated for PEX-B tubing at the applicable pressure and temperature. Do not use this tubing for potable water or direct-burial applications unless explicitly confirmed as rated for those uses.
