The RIIFO px1300b is a 1-inch oxygen barrier PEX coil tubing rated for use in closed-loop hydronic and radiant heating systems. At 300 feet per coil, it provides enough run length for most residential radiant floor zones or baseboard distribution circuits in a single spool. The blue color coding marks it as a return-side or cold-supply line in multi-pipe installations. The oxygen barrier layer is bonded to the inner wall to prevent oxygen diffusion into the system water, protecting ferrous components such as boiler heat exchangers, circulators, and cast-iron radiators from internal corrosion.
This tubing is suited for in-floor radiant heat, radiant wall and ceiling panels, snow-melt systems, and closed-loop baseboard hydronic distribution. Plumbers and hydronic heating contractors install it in both new construction and retrofit applications. The 300-foot coil length is practical for single-zone radiant floor layouts in residential and light commercial settings. Blue color coding is widely used to distinguish return lines from supply lines when both are run in the same chase or manifold bay.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation tubing for closed-loop hydronic radiant heating systems requiring oxygen barrier PEX pipe at 1-inch diameter.
Hydronic oxygen barrier PEX is installed by licensed plumbers or hydronic heating contractors following applicable IPC and IFGC provisions as well as local mechanical codes. Shut down and depressurize the hydronic system and allow it to cool before cutting into any existing loop. Use a dedicated PEX pipe cutter for clean, square cuts, and select crimp, clamp, or expansion fittings rated specifically for oxygen barrier PEX at the correct pipe diameter. Do not use this tubing in potable water systems, as the oxygen barrier layer is not approved for drinking water contact.
