The RHEEM-RUUD RCF4824HTAMCA is a 4 ton multiposition cased evaporator coil designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. This coil carries a nominal capacity of 48000 BTU and is engineered to work with Ruud outdoor condensing units. It is built for HVAC technicians and installers who need a reliable, factory-tested coil that fits multiple airflow configurations without extra labor. The RCF4824HTAMCA supports vertical upflow, vertical downflow, horizontal left, and horizontal right airflow. This bi-directional airflow design means installers do not need to reconfigure any internal components when switching between horizontal left and horizontal right applications. That saves time on the job and reduces the chance of installation error. The coil measures 32.50 inches in height, 24.50 inches in width, and 21.6875 inches in depth. Plenum dimensions are 19 and 7/8 inches front to back and 23 and 1/2 inches side to side. Flanges are included for field installation. The coil is constructed of aluminum fins bonded to internally grooved aluminum tubing, which promotes efficient heat transfer and long service life. Refrigerant connections are copper sweat type, with an inlet size of 3/8 inches and an outlet size of 3/4 inches. The coil is compatible with R410A refrigerant and features Chatleff metering device connections at both the inlet and outlet of the TXV, along with an equalizer connection for precise refrigerant metering. Two sets of 3/4 inch condensate drain connections are included for flexible drain routing. The condensate drain pan is made from high grade, heat resistant, corrosion free thermal set material. This coil can be used on gas or oil furnaces, though it cannot be installed on 14 inch wide oil furnaces or in a horizontal left application on any oil furnace. It is also compatible with germicidal UV resistant light systems, making it a strong choice for indoor air quality upgrades. Every unit is tested at the factory with a thorough refrigerant leak check before shipment.
