The RHEEM 30rc-a2l is a 30-pound recovery tank engineered specifically for the storage and transport of mildly flammable A2L refrigerant gases. The cylinder ships pre-charged to provide a clean, dry interior, eliminating the need for field purging before first use. A 2-way Y-valve supports both liquid and vapor recovery, and the 1/4 SAE flare fitting uses left-hand threads to prevent accidental cross-connection with standard right-hand fittings. The powder-coated exterior delivers a durable, high-gloss finish suited for repeated field use. A collar design makes the tank easier to handle and transport safely on job sites where A2L refrigerants such as R-32 and R-454B are in use.
This recovery tank is intended for licensed HVAC technicians working with A2L refrigerant systems in residential and light commercial applications. The 3/4 NPT opening accepts an 80-percent fill float switch shut-off device, which helps prevent overfilling during recovery operations. The reusable cylinder conforms to DOT-4BA400 pressure vessel specifications and ARI guidelines, making it suitable for repeated recovery cycles across service calls. The tank is also approved for use in Canada under CAN/CSA-B339-02 and carries Australian approval for technicians working in those markets.
Designed for storage and transport of mildly flammable A2L refrigerant gases. Accepts an optional 80-percent fill float switch shut-off device via the 3/4 NPT port opening.
Recovery tanks for A2L refrigerants must be handled by EPA-certified HVAC technicians following applicable safety codes and refrigerant handling regulations. Always confirm the tank valve is closed and the recovery machine is off before connecting or disconnecting fittings. Because A2L refrigerants are mildly flammable, avoid ignition sources in the work area during recovery operations. Inspect the cylinder, valve, and fittings for damage before each use and do not exceed the rated fill capacity.
