The RH PETERSON G8E-16/20/24R-12 is a millivolt-ignition, vent-free natural gas burner designed for indoor single-sided fireplaces, including bedrooms and bathrooms where local codes permit. Rated at 9500 BTU/h maximum output, it operates on natural gas with an inlet pressure range of 5.0 to 10.5 inches water column and connects via a 1/2-inch gas fitting. The burner uses a remote on/off control system and includes an Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) safety system, a custom grate, a decorative log front panel, and a connector kit. It is ANSI certified and approved for mobile home installation. Licensed gas professionals should confirm local vent-free regulations before installation.
This burner is designed for use with Real-Fyre Valley Oak Log Sets in 16-inch, 20-inch, and 24-inch sizes. It is intended for indoor, single-sided fireplace applications where a traditional log set appearance is desired. Minimum fireplace opening requirements vary by log set size: all three sizes require a minimum rear width of 13 inches and a depth of 9.5 inches. Front width minimums are 17 inches for the 16-inch log set, 21 inches for the 20-inch log set, and 26 inches for the 24-inch log set. Minimum height requirement is 17 inches. Log sets are sold separately. A liquid propane version is also available under model G8E-16/20/24R-12P. This product cannot be shipped to California.
This burner is certified for use with specific Real-Fyre Valley Oak Log Sets in 16-inch, 20-inch, and 24-inch configurations only. Burners are not universal — use with non-compatible log sets creates serious risk of fire, carbon monoxide exposure, and property damage. Confirm log set compatibility before installation. Log sets are sold separately.
Installation must be performed by a licensed gas technician in accordance with applicable local and national codes, including the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC). Shut off the gas supply completely before connecting or servicing the burner. Verify local building codes before installing any vent-free appliance, as some jurisdictions prohibit their use. This product cannot be shipped to or installed in California.
