The RH PETERSON G8E-16/20/24-12 is a vent-free natural gas burner designed for indoor, single-sided fireplaces. It produces up to 20,000 BTU/h and operates on a millivolt ignition system with a remote on/off control included in the box. The burner is ANSI certified, carries Mobile Home Approved status, and integrates an Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) safety system that shuts off gas flow if oxygen levels drop to unsafe levels. A decorative log front panel, custom grate, and connector kit are included. This unit is intended for professional installation in residential settings where vent-free appliances are permitted by local code.
The G8E-16/20/24-12 is rated for use exclusively with compatible Real-Fyre Valley Oak Log Sets in 16-inch, 20-inch, or 24-inch sizes. It is not a universal burner. Minimum fireplace opening requirements vary by log set size: all configurations require at least 9.5 inches of depth and 17 inches of height. Rear width must be at least 13 inches. Front width requirements are 17 inches for the 16-inch log set, 21 inches for the 20-inch log set, and 26 inches for the 24-inch log set. Log sets are sold separately. This product cannot be shipped to California, and state or local codes in certain jurisdictions may prohibit vent-free appliance installation.
Certified for use exclusively with Real-Fyre Valley Oak Log Sets in 16-inch, 20-inch, and 24-inch sizes. This burner is not compatible with non-approved log sets. Using this burner with an incompatible log set creates risk of fire, carbon monoxide poisoning, and property damage. Confirm log set compatibility before installation.
Installation of vent-free gas appliances must be performed by a licensed gas technician in accordance with ANSI Z21.11.2, NFPA 54, and all applicable local building and fuel-gas codes. Verify that vent-free products are permitted in the installation jurisdiction before ordering. Shut off the gas supply and allow the appliance to cool completely before servicing. Confirm fireplace opening dimensions meet the minimum requirements for the selected log set size prior to installation.
