The RH PETERSON G46-18/20 is an ANSI-certified Triple T vented natural gas burner designed for single-sided, indoor residential fireplaces. Rated at 40,000 BTU/h, it is compatible with 18-inch and 20-inch Real-Fyre gas log sets and is approved for mobile home installation. The Triple T design includes a main burner tube running down the center and a smaller front flame tube that branches off at a T-junction, creating a layered flame pattern with glowing embers. A pre-assembled SPK-26 safety pilot valve and piezo ignitor are factory-installed. Licensed gas technicians perform the installation and connection to the home gas supply line.
The G46-18/20 is intended for single-sided, indoor fireplaces with vented configurations. The minimum firebox dimensions required are 26 inches wide at the front, 17 inches wide at the rear, 20 inches deep, and 15 inches in height. The angled sides of the burner allow the pilot kit to mount on the side rather than the end, reducing required side clearance by more than half compared to conventional burner designs. The burner ships with a grate, glowing embers, sand, a connector kit, log locators, and a damper clamp. Log sets and additional embers are sold separately.
The G46-18/20 burner is certified to work with specific Real-Fyre gas log sets in 18-inch and 20-inch sizes only. Burners are not universal. Using this burner with a non-compatible log set creates risk of fire, carbon monoxide poisoning, and property damage. Consult the Real-Fyre log set compatibility list before selecting a log set.
Installation must be performed by a licensed gas technician in accordance with applicable local codes and the National Fuel Gas Code (NFPA 54 / ANSI Z223.1). Shut off the gas supply at the main valve before making any connections. Verify that inlet gas pressure falls within the required range before firing the burner. The firebox must meet the minimum dimension requirements specified for this model before installation begins.
