The RH PETERSON G45-18/20-11 is a Triple T vented natural gas burner designed for single-sided indoor fireplaces. The Triple T design features a main burner tube running down the center with a smaller front flame burner that branches off in a T configuration, plus three additional flame ports along the front pipe. This geometry places the flame directly beneath log sets sized for 18 or 20 inches, producing a deep bed of glowing embers and dancing flames across the full length of the burner tubes. Rated at 70,000 BTU/h on natural gas, it ships as a complete system with a burner pan, grate, glowing embers, sand, burner clips, flex connector kit, damper clamp, and an assembled APK-11 millivolt on/off safety pilot valve. The millivolt ignition system requires no external power and supports remote-ready operation out of the box.
This burner is intended for residential single-sided indoor fireplaces with a minimum opening of 30 inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 13 inches tall. The G45-18/20-11 is approved for mobile home installation and accepts Real-Fyre log sets sized at 18 inches or 20 inches only. The included APK-11 pilot kit comes with an RR-1 on/off remote control transmitter and receiver. The standing pilot remains lit continuously, allowing the burner to be toggled on or off via the remote or by the manual control inside the firebox. An upgrade to the RR-2 Deluxe Remote Control system with thermostat, timer, clock, and room temperature display is available separately. Log sets are sold separately.
Compatible exclusively with Real-Fyre gas log sets sized at 18 inches or 20 inches. Burners are certified to work with specific log sets only and are not universal. Using this burner with a non-compatible log set creates risks of fire, carbon monoxide poisoning, and property damage. Requires a minimum fireplace opening of 30 inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 13 inches tall. For G45-18/20-02 model variants, add 2 inches to both the front and rear width requirements. Depth measurement begins inside the ash lip if one is present.
Installation must be performed by a licensed gas technician in accordance with the International Fuel Gas Code and all applicable local codes. Shut off the gas supply at the main valve and verify the line is fully depressurized before making any connections. The 1/2-inch gas connection must be leak-tested with an approved solution or electronic detector before lighting. Do not attempt to operate the burner with a log set other than those specifically certified for use with this model.
