The RH PETERSON G4-24 is a 24-inch vented natural gas glowing ember burner system designed for single-sided, indoor fireplaces. It uses a single-tube center burner that distributes flames across the full length of the tube, producing a traditional log-fire appearance. Rated at 90,000 BTU/h maximum output, it operates on natural gas with a match-light ignition. The system ships with a burner pan, grate, glowing embers, sand, burner clips, a flex connector kit, and a damper clamp. A licensed gas technician or qualified HVAC installer typically handles the hookup. The log set is sold separately and must be a compatible Real-Fyre Gas Log Set sized for 24-inch applications.
This burner is approved for indoor, single-sided vented fireplaces in both standard residential installations and mobile homes. It is certified for mobile home use and requires a vented fireplace configuration — it is not rated for unvented or vent-free installations. The G4-24 accepts 24-inch allowable log sets from the Real-Fyre line only. It does not support remote ignition and does not produce the additional front flames or the brighter ember glow associated with the G45-series burner. Installers should confirm log set compatibility before purchase, as using an incompatible log set creates serious risks including fire, carbon monoxide poisoning, and property damage.
Designed for use with Real-Fyre Gas Log Sets sized for 24-inch burners only. Burners are certified to work with specific log sets and are not universal. The log set is not included. Confirm log set compatibility before installation. This burner is not compatible with vent-free or unvented applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed gas technician or qualified HVAC professional in accordance with local codes and NFPA 54. Shut off the gas supply completely before any connection work and verify the line is depressurized before attaching the flex connector. Inlet gas pressure must fall between 5.0 inches w.c. and 10.5 inches w.c. at the connection point — do not operate outside this range. Confirm the damper clamp is installed to prevent accidental damper closure during operation.
