The RH PETERSON G4-16/19 is a single-tube glowing ember vented gas burner designed for indoor, single-sided fireplaces fueled by natural gas. The burner tube runs through the center of the pan, producing flames that dance across its full length. Maximum output is 39,000 BTU/h, and ignition is match light. This is a base-model burner system — embers glow less intensely than higher-tier glowing ember designs, and it does not produce supplemental front flames. The complete system includes a burner pan, grate, glowing embers, sand, burner clips, flex connector kit, and damper clamp. The log set is sold separately. Licensed gas technicians and qualified fireplace installers handle this type of equipment.
The G4-16/19 is rated for residential indoor use and is approved for mobile home installations. It is configured for vented operation only and is intended for single-sided fireplace applications. Compatible log sets are limited to specific Real-Fyre gas log sets sized 16 inches or 19 inches. The burner requires a 1/2-inch gas connection, with inlet gas pressure between 5.0 inches water column (minimum) and 10.5 inches water column (maximum). This burner is not a universal fit — it must be paired with a certified, compatible log set to operate safely.
Designed for use with specific Real-Fyre gas log sets in 16-inch and 19-inch sizes only. Burners are certified to work with specific log sets — this burner is not universal. Using a non-compatible log set creates risk of fire, carbon monoxide poisoning, and property damage. Consult the manufacturer's compatibility chart before pairing with any log set.
Installation must be performed by a licensed gas technician or qualified fireplace professional in accordance with local codes and the appliance manufacturer's instructions. Shut off the gas supply completely before making or inspecting any connections. The damper must be fixed in the open position using the included damper clamp prior to use — vented burners require an unobstructed flue path at all times. Do not operate this burner in an unvented or restricted-draft fireplace.
