The RH PETERSON G31-24/30-02 is a three-tiered vented gas log burner designed for installation in a wood-burning fireplace equipped with a natural gas supply line. Rated at 50,000 BTU/h maximum output, the G31-24/30-02 uses an electronic valve with intermittent pilot ignition and includes an on/off remote system with receiver, transmitter, and batteries. It accommodates either 24-inch or 30-inch compatible gas log sets, offering flexibility for different fireplace openings. The burner is engineered to produce high, robust flame patterns — top flames approximately 3 to 5 inches above and between the logs, with the center flame being the tallest — while consuming fewer BTUs than comparable vented burner systems. A licensed gas technician or qualified HVAC professional should perform installation.

The G31-24/30-02 is rated for indoor, single-sided fireplaces using vented natural gas. It carries Mobile Home Approved certification, making it suitable for that application in addition to standard residential use. Minimum fireplace dimensions for the 24-inch log set configuration are: 35 inches front width, 25 inches rear width, 15 inches depth (measured from inside the lip), and 17 inches height. For the 30-inch log set configuration, minimum dimensions are: 39 inches front width, 28 inches rear width, 15 inches depth, and 17 inches height. Use with any non-listed log set creates serious risk of fire, carbon monoxide exposure, and property damage. Log set is sold separately.

Installation Notes
