The RH PETERSON G10-24/30P is a vent-free manual gas burner designed for use with liquid propane (LP) in single-sided, indoor fireplaces. It operates at a maximum output of 37,000 BTU/h and a low setting of 19,000 BTU/h, controlled through a pre-assembled manual control valve. The burner includes an oxygen depletion sensor (ODS) safety system, which automatically shuts off the gas supply if ambient oxygen levels drop below a safe threshold. This unit ships with a custom G10 grate, connector kit, glowing embers, Bryte Coals, and Lava-Fyre Granules. It is ANSI certified and approved for mobile home installation. A licensed gas technician or qualified HVAC professional typically handles installation.
The G10-24/30P is intended for use with specific Charred Series log sets in 24-inch and 30-inch sizes. Compatible Charred Series log sets include Charred Frontier Oak, Charred Aged Split Oak, Charred Alpine Birch, and Charred Gnarled Split. All compatible Charred Series log sets feature a burnt-through front log design. Minimum fireplace opening requirements apply: for 24-inch log sets, the fireplace must measure at least 28 inches front width, 20 inches rear width, 14 inches depth, and 18 inches height. For 30-inch log sets, minimum dimensions are 34 inches front width, 20 inches rear width, 14 inches depth, and 18 inches height. Log sets are sold separately. This burner cannot be used with any thermostat or remote control device. The Natural Gas version of this burner is also available under a separate part number. Note: vent-free products cannot be shipped to California. State and local codes in some areas prohibit vent-free appliances. Verify local building codes before ordering or installing.
Compatible exclusively with specific Charred Series log sets in 24-inch and 30-inch sizes: Charred Frontier Oak, Charred Aged Split Oak, Charred Alpine Birch, and Charred Gnarled Split. Burners are not universal — using this burner with a non-compatible log set creates risk of fire, carbon monoxide poisoning, and property damage. Log sets are sold separately.
Installation must be performed by a qualified gas technician familiar with local building codes and the appliance manufacturer instructions. Shut off the LP gas supply at the source before making any connections. Verify fireplace opening dimensions meet the minimum requirements for the chosen log set size before installation. Vent-free appliances are prohibited in some jurisdictions — confirm compliance with all applicable state and local codes prior to installation.
