The RH PETERSON EPK-2N is an electronic ignition pilot kit designed for use with gas log sets and Peterson burner systems. It eliminates the standing pilot by connecting directly to the home electrical supply, using flame sensing activation to light and monitor the burner. The kit includes the RR-1A remote control for on/off operation, and can also be operated manually. A low-profile valve keeps the installation clean and unobtrusive. This kit is appropriate for residential fireplace applications and is installed by licensed gas technicians or qualified HVAC service professionals.

The EPK-2N is suited for use with Peterson burners paired with log sets ranging from 12 inches up to 42 inches on natural gas applications. It delivers a maximum output of 120,000 BTU/h on natural gas. The system supports optional upgrades to the RR-2A remote and is compatible with wall switches WS-1 and WS-2, giving installers flexibility in how the control system is configured for the finished installation. Battery-operated remote functionality is included out of the box.
