The RH PETERSON CHGS-30 is a hand-crafted refractory ceramic gas log set designed to deliver a realistic wood-fire appearance in vent-free gas fireplace applications. The set consists of 8 individual pieces, each hand painted to replicate the look of charred, knotty, gnarled split oak logs. The front log features a burn-through aesthetic with visible ember detail, while the smaller logs in the set present a varied mix of split surfaces and charred bark textures. Built from refractory ceramic, the logs are engineered to hold structural integrity and resist chipping at sustained high temperatures. This log set is sized at 30 inches and is manufactured specifically to pair with the Peterson G10 vent-free burner series.
The CHGS-30 is intended for residential gas fireplace installations using the Peterson G10-24/30 vent-free burner. The G10 burner is compatible with multiple valve configurations, including manual, millivolt with on/off remote and standing pilot, millivolt with variable flame remote and standing pilot, and variable flame remote with electronic ignition. This log set is sold as logs only and does not include a burner, valve, or ignition components. It is suited for installation by qualified gas appliance service technicians in residential living spaces where a vent-free rated appliance is permitted by local code.
The CHGS-30 was specifically designed for use with the Peterson G10-24/30 vent-free burner. It is compatible with G10 burner configurations using manual, millivolt on/off, millivolt variable flame, and electronic ignition valve options. This is a logs-only set and requires a separately sourced G10 burner assembly.
Installation should be performed by a licensed gas appliance technician familiar with vent-free fireplace systems and applicable local codes. Shut off the gas supply completely before placing or repositioning any log components. Log placement must follow the manufacturer-specified arrangement to maintain proper combustion and flame characteristics for the G10 burner. Do not operate the burner without all log pieces positioned correctly, as improper placement can affect flame pattern and ember bed performance.
