The RH PETERSON CHFR-16/18 is a five-piece refractory ceramic log set designed as a direct replacement for the Peterson G10-16/18 vent-free burner. Each log is hand-crafted and hand-painted to replicate the look of real charred frontier oak, featuring a burn-through front log appearance with a visible ember effect. The logs are manufactured to withstand sustained high-temperature exposure without losing structural integrity, with the production process focused on minimizing chipping and breaking over the life of the set. This log set is sold without a burner and is not compatible with burners outside its certified application.
This log set is intended for residential vent-free gas fireplace installations using the Peterson G10-16/18 burner. The G10 burner platform supports multiple valve configurations, including manual, millivolt with on/off remote and standing pilot, millivolt with variable flame remote and standing pilot, and variable flame remote with electronic ignition. The 16/18 inch sizing designation corresponds to the rated burner size. This replacement set is appropriate for gas fireplace service work or upgrading worn logs on an existing G10 installation.
Designed and certified exclusively for use with the Peterson G10-16/18 vent-free burner. This log set is not universal and must not be used with any burner outside its certified application. Using this log set with a non-certified burner creates risk of fire, carbon monoxide poisoning, and property damage.
Installation should be performed by a qualified gas appliance technician familiar with vent-free fireplace systems and applicable local codes. Shut off the gas supply and allow all components to cool completely before handling or repositioning logs. Log placement must follow the certified burner manufacturer instructions exactly — improper placement in a vent-free system can affect combustion quality and safety. Vent-free appliances require adequate room ventilation per manufacturer and local code requirements.
