The RH PETERSON CHAS-16/18 is a 5-piece refractory ceramic log set designed as a direct replacement for the Peterson G10-16/18 vent-free burner. Each log is hand-crafted and hand-painted to replicate the appearance of real charred, aged, split oak wood. The set features the burn-through front log look, where exposed embers are visible through the split face of the front log. Smaller logs in the set carry a charred bark finish for added visual depth. This log set is rated for high-temperature use and is manufactured to resist chipping and breaking over extended service life.
This log set is intended for residential vent-free gas fireplace applications. It was specifically engineered for use with the Peterson G10-16/18 burner, which is available with multiple valve configurations including manual, millivolt on/off with standing pilot, millivolt variable flame with standing pilot, and variable flame electronic ignition. The set is not universal and is certified only for use with the G10-16/18 burner. Installing this log set on a non-certified burner creates risks of fire, carbon monoxide exposure, and property damage.
Designed and certified for use with the Peterson G10-16/18 vent-free burner only. Compatible valve options for the G10 burner include manual, millivolt with on/off remote and standing pilot, millivolt with variable flame remote and standing pilot, and variable flame remote with electronic ignition. This log set is not compatible with other burner models and is not a universal replacement.
Installation should be performed by a qualified gas appliance technician familiar with vent-free fireplace systems. Shut off the gas supply and allow all components to cool completely before removing or placing any logs. Log positioning must follow the manufacturer-specified layout for the G10-16/18 burner to maintain certification and safe combustion. Refer to local codes and the burner manufacturer instructions before placing the appliance into service.
