The RH PETERSON CHAB-16/18 is a 7-piece refractory ceramic log set designed as a replacement for use with the Peterson G10-16/18 vent-free burner. Each log is hand-painted and modeled from real wood samples to replicate the appearance of charred alpine birch, including white birch bark detailing. The set features a burn-through front log design achieved with a 2-piece front log configuration. All logs are manufactured to withstand high operating temperatures while resisting chipping and breaking over extended service life. Installation is limited to the certified G10-16/18 burner only and is not compatible with other burner models.
This log set is intended for residential gas fireplace applications using the Peterson G10-16/18 vent-free burner. The 16/18-inch sizing designates compatibility with that specific burner platform. The G10 burner is available in several valve configurations including manual, millivolt with on/off remote and standing pilot, millivolt with variable flame remote and standing pilot, and variable flame remote with electronic ignition. A decorative wood chip is included to conceal the valve from view when the set is installed. This set is appropriate for technicians and qualified installers working on vent-free gas fireplace systems.
This log set is certified for use exclusively with the Peterson G10-16/18 vent-free burner. It is not a universal log set and must not be used with any burner outside this certification. Improper pairing with a non-certified burner presents risk of fire, carbon monoxide exposure, and property damage.
Installation should be performed by a qualified gas appliance technician or licensed installer familiar with vent-free gas fireplace systems. Shut off the gas supply and allow the burner to cool completely before handling or replacing log components. Follow the burner and log set manufacturer instructions for correct log placement, as improper positioning can affect combustion and safety. Local codes and the appliance manufacturer requirements govern final installation approval.
