The RGF hvac-mini-ga Guardian Air Mini is a UV-based air purification system designed for installation within HVAC equipment. It uses ultraviolet light technology to target airborne contaminants, including microbial particles, odors, and volatile organic compounds, within the conditioned air stream. This compact unit is sized for residential and light commercial applications where space inside the air handler or duct system is limited. HVAC technicians and IAQ specialists are the primary installers. The system integrates directly into existing forced-air equipment without requiring significant duct modification.
The Guardian Air Mini is suited for installation in residential forced-air systems and light commercial HVAC units where indoor air quality improvement is a service objective. It is designed to mount inside an air handler, furnace cabinet, or duct plenum, exposing passing air to UV output continuously during system operation. This makes it a practical add-on during system maintenance calls or new equipment commissioning where an IAQ upgrade is requested.
Designed as an OEM-style in-duct UV purification unit for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems where in-unit air treatment capability is required.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Power to the air handler or furnace must be shut off at the disconnect or breaker before beginning installation. The UV lamp assembly should be mounted per manufacturer placement guidelines to ensure proper exposure of the air stream, and the access panel must be secured before restoring power. Do not look directly at an energized UV lamp without appropriate eye protection.
