The RESPICAIRE 6RASO10W7L is an active photocatalytic oxidation (PCO) air purifier designed for whole-home air treatment in ducted HVAC systems. It uses a patented Spiroplate catalytic disk chamber in combination with UV light to generate active ionic air cleansers, including hydrogen peroxide, hydroxyl radicals, and supercharged oxygen molecules. These reactants circulate through the conditioned space to help inactivate airborne and surface-bound contaminants. The wavy disc structure of the catalytic chamber is engineered for low airflow restriction while maximizing reactive surface area exposed to UV output. HVAC technicians install this unit as part of indoor air quality upgrades in residential and light commercial applications.
The 6RASO10W7L is suited for installation in forced-air HVAC systems where improving indoor air quality is a priority. It targets airborne pollutants including odors, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), mold spores, bacteria, and viruses. The unit works continuously during normal system operation, making it appropriate for residential applications where occupants have sensitivity to airborne contaminants or where odor control is required. It is typically installed in the supply or return air duct, downstream of the air handler or furnace.
Designed as an OEM-style active PCO air purifier for installation in ducted residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Power to the air handler or furnace must be shut off at the disconnect or breaker before beginning any duct penetration or wiring work. The unit is mounted in the supply or return duct section per the manufacturer installation instructions, with UV lamp orientation and clearance requirements observed. Follow all applicable local codes and NEC guidelines for low-voltage and line-voltage wiring connections.
