The RESIDEO v8043f5036/u is a two-way, on-off, low-voltage zone valve designed to control hot water flow in hydronic heating systems. The assembly combines an actuator and valve body in a single unit, providing reliable zone isolation without the need for separate components. Rated at 24 volts and 0.32 amps, the valve operates on standard low-voltage hydronic controls. The brass valve body carries a 300 psi pressure rating and a flow coefficient (Cv) of 3.5, making it well-suited for residential and light-commercial hot water distribution circuits. It is installed by licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians performing hydronic system work.
This zone valve is used in forced hot water heating systems where individual zones must be controlled independently. Typical applications include residential baseboard hydronic systems, radiant floor loops, and fan-coil unit supply lines. The valve is rated for water temperatures between 50 and 200 degrees F, covering the full operating range of standard hydronic heating systems. The 3/4-inch nominal size and C end-style configuration fit common residential and light-commercial piping layouts. A 20 psi differential pressure rating keeps the valve within standard zone circuit parameters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement zone valve for residential and light-commercial hydronic heating systems requiring a 3/4-inch, two-way, low-voltage on-off valve in the V8043 series configuration.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician familiar with hydronic systems. Shut off water supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing the valve. Electrical connections must be made with system power de-energized; follow applicable NEC requirements for low-voltage wiring. Verify correct flow direction and end-style orientation before securing fittings.
