The RESIDEO pv100/u is a bronze air elimination SuperVent designed for hydronic heating systems. It breaks apart and removes entrained air and microbubbles while absorbing stagnant air pockets throughout the system loop. The result is quieter operation and reduced risk of airlock-related efficiency loss. Rated to 125 psi working pressure and 240 degrees F, the pv100/u is built for the demands of residential and light commercial hydronic applications. It connects via a 1-inch FNPT fitting and is installed by qualified plumbers or hydronic heating technicians during system commissioning or service.
The pv100/u is suited for closed-loop hydronic heating systems including baseboard, radiant floor, and panel radiator installations. It is typically installed at or near the boiler on the supply side where dissolved gases tend to release. The unit targets both large air pockets and smaller microbubbles that standard vents may miss, helping maintain consistent flow and heat transfer across the system. It is appropriate for residential systems and light commercial hydronic loops where noise and air-related efficiency losses are a concern.

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or hydronic heating technician. Shut down and depressurize the system before removing or installing any air elimination device. The unit should be positioned on the supply side of the boiler where water temperature is highest and air release is most active. Follow all applicable local plumbing codes and manufacturer orientation requirements during installation.
