This device functions as a fire thermostat within AC and ventilating system ducts, ensuring fan shutdown if air temperature indicates a fire. It provides high limit cutout with manual reset in warm air or air conditioning systems, serving as a secondary high limit for positive burner shutdown on fan failure or reverse airflow.
