The RESIDEO dpl2030a1004 is a 2-pole, 24-volt AC economy definite purpose contactor designed for electromagnetically operated switching of induction motors in HVAC and refrigeration systems. It features silver cadmium oxide contacts that deliver long service life under demanding duty cycles, making it well suited for high-cycle applications. The low-profile housing creates additional wiring room inside the control panel, and multiple mounting holes and slots allow interchangeable installation with most competitive devices. Licensed HVAC technicians and refrigeration mechanics are the primary installers for this component.
This contactor is built for economy-class definite purpose applications in residential and light commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and motor-control circuits. It operates on a 24-volt AC coil, which is standard for low-voltage control circuits in split-system air conditioners, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment. The unit is compliant with A2L refrigerants, keeping it compatible with newer systems using mildly flammable refrigerant blends such as those transitioning away from legacy HFC refrigerants. Electrical connections are made via slotted and hex head screws with quad 0.250-inch quick connect terminals, and the coil connects through a 1/4-inch quick connect fitting.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation economy definite purpose contactor for residential and light commercial HVAC, heat pump, and refrigeration systems using 24-volt AC low-voltage control circuits with induction motor loads.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified electrician. Disconnect and lock out all power to the unit before removing the existing contactor or making any wiring connections. Verify that the replacement contactor coil voltage and pole configuration match the original equipment specifications before energizing. Follow all applicable NEC requirements for control-circuit wiring and enclosure protection during service.
