The RESEARCH PRODUCTS e100 is a whole-home dehumidifier designed for residential applications requiring aggressive moisture control across large floor plans. The unit works by drawing incoming air across an evaporator coil, dropping the air temperature below its dew point. Moisture condenses and drains to a common floor or waste drain. The conditioned air then passes over the condenser coil, is reheated, and exits the unit. A built-in digital control with display allows the technician to program humidity setpoints and configure automatic humidity sensing for consistent moisture removal. The e100 carries an Energy Star listing and was recognized as Most Efficient of 2021.
The e100 is sized for whole-home dehumidification in residences between 2,000 and 5,500 square feet. It is well suited for installation in basements and crawl spaces where moisture accumulation is a recurring service challenge. The unit can also be programmed to circulate air without active dehumidification, which equalizes relative humidity and temperature distribution throughout the treated space. Discharge orientation is field-selectable, either top or front, which provides flexibility in tight mechanical rooms or confined crawl space installations. An integrated MERV-8 washable filter provides particulate capture and protects internal components.
Designed for whole-home dehumidification in residential systems, with primary application in basements and crawl spaces serving homes between 2,000 and 5,500 square feet.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Before servicing or wiring the unit, disconnect power at the breaker and verify lockout-tagout procedures are followed. Condensate drainage must be routed to a code-approved floor drain or waste drain per local mechanical code. Confirm discharge orientation selection and filter seating before powering the unit for commissioning.
