The RENEW AIRE ev90-10 is a static plate energy recovery ventilator (ERV) designed for small residential applications including single-family homes, apartments, and condominiums. Operating across a delivery range of 40 to 110 CFM, it uses a static plate heat and humidity transfer core to exchange stale indoor air for fresh outdoor air without liquid condensate or a drain line. At 90 CFM, the unit draws only 46 watts at 120 volts, 60 Hz, single phase, making it an efficient fit for continuous or timed ventilation. A licensed HVAC technician or mechanical contractor typically handles installation. The unit ships with two motorized impeller blower motors, a percentage timer control, a percentage timer control with furnace interlock, and a pushbutton point-of-use control.
The ev90-10 is rated for residential use and is sized for smaller living spaces where a full-size ERV would be oversized. It can replace existing bathroom exhaust fans in new construction or remodel projects, providing 100 percent exhaust-to-fresh-air separation. The unit mounts vertically or horizontally overhead or on a wall with no mounting restrictions, using standard integral mounting flanges for straightforward rough-in. Wall caps and back draft dampers are required accessories and must be sourced separately. The included MERV 8 spun polyester media filter measures 7.5 inches by 10.5 inches by 1 inch and protects the core from particulate contamination.
Designed as an OEM residential ERV for small homes, apartments, and condominiums requiring continuous or timed mechanical ventilation per ASHRAE 62.2 or local code requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC or mechanical contractor familiar with residential ventilation codes including ASHRAE 62.2 and applicable local mechanical codes. Disconnect and lock out power to the unit before servicing filters, controls, or ductwork connections. Wall caps and back draft dampers are required and must be field-supplied; verify duct sizing matches the unit port dimensions before rough-in. Do not operate the unit without the MERV 8 filter in place, as unfiltered air will contaminate the static plate core.
