The REHAU 418429-001 is a 3/4 inches EVERLOC+ compression-sleeve ball valve with a Female National Pipe Thread (FNPT) end connection. It is designed for use in PEXa pipe systems where a reliable shutoff valve is needed. Plumbers, mechanical contractors, and radiant heating installers use this valve when building or servicing hot and cold water distribution systems, radiant floor heating loops, and other hydronic applications.
This valve uses the same EVERLOC+ compression-sleeve technology found throughout the REHAU fitting system. The compression-sleeve connection method creates a strong, leak-resistant joint without the need for open flame soldering at the PEXa pipe side. Installation requires EVERLOC+ compression-sleeve tools, which cold-expand and lock the sleeve onto the pipe for a secure mechanical connection. The FNPT threaded end allows the valve to connect directly to standard threaded pipe, manifolds, or equipment ports.
The valve body is constructed from lead-free brass, meeting the lead-free requirements of the U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act. This makes it suitable for potable water systems in residential and commercial construction. The fitting system conforms to ASTM F877 and CSA B137.5 standards for SDR9 PEX tubing, ensuring it meets recognized pressure and temperature performance criteria for PEX-based plumbing systems.
When installing, solder connections should be completed before attaching the valve to REHAU PEXa pipe to avoid heat damage to the tubing. Always solder with the valve in the open position to protect internal seals. All installation should follow published REHAU Technical Guidelines for proper system performance.
The REHAU 418429-001 delivers a code-compliant, lead-free brass shutoff valve with EVERLOC+ compression-sleeve technology for dependable integration into PEXa pipe systems. It combines a threaded FNPT outlet with a tool-installed compression connection for fast, flame-free installation on the PEX side.
