The REGO-FIX 3416.00000 is an ER16 clamping nut designed to secure ER16 collets in compatible toolholders during machining operations. The nut threads onto the toolholder body and applies axial clamping force to the collet, locking the cutting tool in place. It is a direct-contact, torque-critical component in the spindle tooling stack. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC setup personnel work with this part during tool changes and collet maintenance. Coolant-through capability is not supported by this nut design.
This clamping nut fits ER16 collet series toolholders used in CNC machining centers, manual mills, lathes with live tooling, and bench-top drilling and milling machines. The ER16 collet system accommodates a range of shank diameters up to the series maximum, making this nut a common stocking item in shops running mixed cutting tool inventories. It is suited for both production and maintenance toolroom environments.
Designed for use with ER16 collet series toolholders. Specific toolholder model compatibility depends on thread form and nut style - verify toolholder specifications before installation.
Installation is performed by toolroom technicians or CNC setup personnel during tool change procedures. Disengage spindle drive and confirm the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before handling collet components. Use the appropriate ER16 spanner wrench to tighten the clamping nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque - do not use improvised tools that may damage the nut flats or collet body. Inspect the collet seating surface and nut threads for wear or contamination before each assembly.
