The REED tck50slr is a compact C-style pipe cutter designed for cutting 1/2-inch nominal copper and CPVC pipe in tight spaces where a full-rotation cutter cannot be used. The C-cutter design allows the tool to engage the pipe from one side, making it well-suited for close-quarter plumbing work where clearance is limited. At 0.4 pounds, it is lightweight enough for one-handed operation during overhead or confined-space installations. Plumbers and pipefitters working on residential and light commercial systems will find this tool fits naturally into service and retrofit scenarios where access is restricted.
This cutter is intended for use on 1/2-inch nominal copper pipe with an actual outside diameter of 15.9 mm, as well as CPVC pipe of the same nominal size. It is a common choice for service plumbers performing repairs behind walls, inside cabinets, or in mechanical chases where a standard wheel cutter cannot complete a full rotation around the pipe. The single-unit configuration is ready to use out of the packaging.
Designed for 1/2-inch nominal copper and CPVC pipe with an actual outside diameter of 15.9 mm.
This tool is typically used by licensed plumbers and pipefitters. Before cutting any pipe, shut off the water supply and relieve pressure in the line. Position the cutter wheel firmly against the pipe surface and advance the cutting wheel gradually with each pass to avoid deforming the pipe end. Deburr the cut end before fitting or soldering to ensure a proper joint.
