The RECTORSEALMARS84486 MARS-84486 is a 14 AWG, 4-conductor stranded thermostat wire rated at 600 volts, supplied in a 50-foot coil. The E-Z IN designation refers to the pull-through design, which reduces friction during installation in conduit or through wall cavities. Stranded construction gives the wire flexibility for routing through tight spaces without kinking. This wire is well suited for HVAC low-voltage control wiring, connecting thermostats, control boards, zone valves, and other 24-volt control circuit components. The 600-volt insulation rating provides a wide safety margin for standard low-voltage HVAC applications.
This wire is used in residential and light commercial HVAC systems where multiple control conductors are needed between the thermostat and the air handler, furnace, heat pump, or zone controller. The 4-conductor configuration supports standard heating and cooling control circuits. The 50-foot coil length is practical for single-zone residential installs or short commercial runs. HVAC technicians and electricians use this wire during new equipment installation, thermostat upgrades, and control system retrofits.
Designed as a general-purpose low-voltage control wire for use with residential and light commercial HVAC thermostats, control boards, and zone valves requiring 14 AWG 4-conductor wiring.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for low-voltage wiring. Power down the HVAC system and thermostat circuit at the breaker before disconnecting or connecting any control wiring. Avoid sharp bends that could damage insulation, and secure wire runs with appropriate staples or clamps rated for the wire gauge. Do not use this wire for line-voltage applications beyond its rated capacity.
