The RECTORSEAL pexgf24 is a corrugated stainless steel water heater connector designed for PEX crimp installations. It features a 3/4-inch female iron pipe connection on one end and a 3/4-inch PEX barb fitting on the other, with an overall length of 24 inches. The flexible corrugated body allows for easy routing in tight spaces during water heater installation. Rated to 250 psi working pressure, this connector suits residential water heater supply line connections where a durable, corrosion-resistant flex line is required. Licensed plumbers and qualified tradespeople typically install this fitting in new and replacement water heater applications.
This connector is suited for residential water heater installations where a PEX supply line meets a threaded iron pipe inlet or outlet. The 24-inch length provides enough flexibility to accommodate standard rough-in distances and minor alignment offsets between the supply stub-out and the water heater connections. The stainless steel corrugated construction handles the thermal cycling typical in hot water service lines. This part is used in both new construction and retrofit replacement scenarios where the existing supply line is 3/4-inch PEX.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement connector for residential water heater supply line applications using 3/4-inch PEX distribution systems with iron pipe threaded inlets or outlets.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the cold water supply and drain the line before disconnecting or replacing any water heater connector. Use an appropriate PEX crimp tool and copper crimp rings sized for 3/4-inch PEX barb connections. Do not over-tighten threaded fittings; apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the iron pipe threads per code requirements.
