The RECTORSEAL m84207 is an 18 AWG, 8-conductor thermostat cable supplied on a 250 ft spool, designed to connect low-voltage controls to main power circuits in HVAC and building automation systems. This nonplenum-rated wire is built for runs through conduit or open air spaces in standard residential and commercial installations. Licensed HVAC technicians and controls specialists use this cable when wiring thermostats, zone controllers, and control boards that require multiple conductors in a single jacketed run. The 18 AWG gauge supports low-voltage control signals across the extended lengths typical in commercial applications.
This thermostat wire is well suited for commercial building HVAC installations where multi-conductor runs are needed between thermostats, zone valves, damper actuators, or air handlers and their control panels. The 250 ft spool length reduces mid-run splices on longer pulls. It is not rated for plenum air-handling spaces, so it should be installed only in conduit or non-plenum cavities in accordance with local code requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use thermostat wire compatible with standard 18 AWG low-voltage HVAC control wiring applications requiring 8 conductors.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified controls technician familiar with low-voltage wiring practices. Power down all control circuits before making or breaking any thermostat wire connections. Because this cable is nonplenum rated, it must not be routed through air-handling plenums without conduit; consult local mechanical and electrical codes, including NEC Article 725, for Class 2 wiring requirements. Verify conductor count and gauge requirements against the control system schematic before pulling wire.
