The RECTORSEAL m84137 is an all-plastic, liquid-tight flexible conduit whip sized at 3/4 inch by 72 inches, designed for final connections at residential and light-commercial air conditioning condensing units. Built from non-metallic materials throughout, it resists corrosion, abrasion, oil, water, acid, and metal shavings without the weight or conductivity concerns of metal-clad alternatives. The smooth interior bore simplifies wire pulling and eliminates sharp edges or burrs that can nick conductor insulation. All components are UL listed, and the outer jacket is rated for outdoor, sunlight-resistant service.
This whip is used in the final conduit run between the disconnect box and the condensing unit on split-system air conditioning installations. The 72-inch length provides enough slack to meet typical code-required service clearances while keeping the connection neat and code-compliant. Its light weight speeds up installation on rooftop units, ground-level pads, and wall-mounted applications where a standard metallic whip would add unnecessary bulk or corrosion risk.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation flexible conduit whip for residential and light-commercial split-system air conditioning condensing unit final connections requiring a 3/4-inch liquid-tight fitting.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed electrician or HVAC technician in accordance with NEC Article 356 governing liquidtight flexible nonmetallic conduit. Shut off and lock out all power at the disconnect and upstream breaker before making any wiring connections. Use fittings rated for liquidtight flexible nonmetallic conduit to terminate each end of the whip securely. Do not bend the whip below its minimum bend radius, and avoid routing where it may contact sharp structural edges without protection.
