The RECTORSEAL m52332 is a stainless steel vibration absorber designed to reduce line vibration and noise in air conditioning refrigerant line sets. Rated to a maximum pressure of 650 psi, it is built to handle the operating pressures found in residential and light commercial cooling systems. Measuring 9.72 inches in overall length with a 41/64-inch by 5/8-inch cross-section profile, this absorber installs inline on suction or liquid lines to isolate compressor-generated vibration from the surrounding structure. HVAC technicians use it to prevent fatigue cracking at line connections and to reduce vibration transmission through walls and ceilings.
This vibration absorber is intended for use on split-system air conditioners and other refrigerant-based cooling systems where compressor vibration travels through copper line sets. It is sold individually and is suited for new installations as well as service calls where vibration noise complaints are identified at the line set. Stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance in outdoor and mechanical room environments.
Designed as an OEM-style vibration absorber for residential and light commercial air conditioning refrigerant line sets where compressor vibration isolation is required.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Recover refrigerant and depressurize the system before cutting into any refrigerant line. The absorber is brazed or otherwise connected inline on the suction or liquid line per standard refrigeration piping practice following applicable mechanical codes. Do not bend or kink the absorber body during installation, as this will reduce its vibration-damping effectiveness.
