The RECTORSEAL m22405 is a PSC-type condenser fan motor rated at 1/3 HP and 825 RPM, designed for single-phase, 208/230-volt condenser fan applications in residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Built with a TEAO (Totally Enclosed Air Over) enclosure and ball bearings, this motor is engineered for continuous-duty outdoor operation. The shaft can be mounted vertically with the shaft up or shaft down, giving installers flexibility during replacement. Rheem mounting holes with screws installed and a water slinger on the shaft are included as factory features. Thermal protection is automatic, and the motor runs at a service factor of 1.0.
This motor is suited for outdoor condensing unit fan applications where a direct-replacement PSC motor is required. The TEAO enclosure protects internal windings from airborne debris and moisture typical of outdoor condenser environments. The RPM range of 700 to 900 allows this motor to serve a range of condenser fan blade configurations. A weep hole in each end shield helps drain moisture that may accumulate during operation, extending service life in exposed installations. Licensed HVAC technicians typically handle this replacement during seasonal maintenance or after motor failure diagnosis.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement condenser fan motor for residential and light commercial air conditioning condensing units requiring a 1/3 HP, 825 RPM, 208/230-volt PSC motor with TEAO enclosure.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power to the condensing unit before removing the existing motor or wiring. Confirm blade pitch, shaft diameter, and rotation direction (REV) match the existing fan assembly before completing installation. Refer to local electrical codes and the equipment manufacturer's wiring diagram for proper connection.
