The RECTORSEAL m14293 is a dual run capacitor rated at 55/7.5 microfarads (MFD) and 440/370 volts, designed for use in residential and commercial air conditioning systems. It provides continuous capacitance to both the compressor and fan motor circuits, maintaining stable motor starting and running performance. Built with aluminum construction and rated for an operational life of 60,000 hours, this capacitor meets EIA-456A industry standards and Tecumseh H-183 OEM-grade requirements. Non-PCB construction and a physical interrupter add a layer of safety compliance appropriate for field installation. Listed by UL and CUL. Manufactured in the USA.
This dual run capacitor is suited for residential and commercial HVAC applications where a single round capacitor services both the condenser fan motor and compressor. It is a common replacement component in split-system air conditioners and heat pump condensing units. The 440/370-volt dual rating allows fitment across a range of single-phase systems operating at either voltage level. HVAC technicians typically encounter this capacitor during routine summer PM work or in response to hard-start or no-start compressor and fan motor complaints. Compatible with 50 Hz and 60 Hz systems.
Rated for use in residential and commercial AC and heat pump condensing units requiring a dual run capacitor with 55/7.5 MFD and 440/370-volt ratings. Compatible with 50 Hz and 60 Hz single-phase systems.
A licensed HVAC technician should install or replace run capacitors. Disconnect and lock out all power to the condensing unit before beginning work — capacitors store a charge and must be safely discharged before handling. Use a capacitor discharge tool or resistor before touching any terminals. Verify that the replacement MFD and voltage ratings match the existing unit nameplate data before installation.
